You read that right. The details of Barack Obama's Internet Takeover were just published in the federal register, which means full implementation of this massive regulatory power grab will commence on June 12.
This story was in an email requesting a donation to the Center for Individual Freedom. I will try to give my readers just the story of "Socialism on the Internet."
A subheading to this story says, "Obama Moving To Outlaw Conservative Websites." The story goes on to say, "What Would You Say If Barack Obama Ordered Your Local AM Radio Station To Stop Broadcasting The Rush Limbaugh Show?" It seems to me that long term it is exactly what Obama the dictator wants to do.
If calling this un-American power grab by Barack Obama's FCC an "Internet Takeover" — which has been sold on an unsuspecting public as something called Net Neutrality — sounds a little far-fetched, then consider just one example of what is contained in the 400 pages of the Obama-FCC order.
Here's what the FCC says about First Amendment rights in Section 544: "The rules we adopt today do not curtail broadband providers' free speech rights. When engaged in broadband Internet access services, broadband providers are not speakers, but rather serve as conduits for the speech of others."
Okay... so here's a question: Do local AM radio stations not "serve as conduits for the speech of others." Come to think of it, is your radio not a "conduit" for the speech of others?
Now, let's be clear. This Obama-FCC order only applies to the Internet (at least for now), but the analogy should serve to illustrate EXACTLY what Barack Obama and the FCC are thinking when it comes to your First Amendment rights. Call it the Fairness Doctrine for the Internet.
Rush Limbaugh perhaps said it best: "[D]o you want the people who gave you ObamaCare running your Internet service? Do you want them in charge of what you can get and when you can get it and how much it's gonna cost you?"

Welcome Back to the Stone Age
According to this website, Obama is trying to take over the Internet and have it run like a public utility by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Let's not let him do that. Do you enjoy your freedom of speech?
http://protect-internet-freedom.tumblr.com/
http://la.libertyalliance.com/ says, "ObamaCare. The VA scandal. The IRS scandal--these are just a few examples of what happens when we give Government huge power without oversight. It's about to happen again--the Obama Administration is fighting for a government takeover of the Internet.
Who do you want in charge of the direction of the Internet? People at dot com startups that brought us game changing companies like Facebook, Google, Twitter, Amazon and Uber? Or nameless, faceless, unelected bureaucrats in our nation's capitol?
There is another aspect of this that gets overlooked: the Internet is an incredibly important force for freedom, for liberty, and the rights of free speech that we hold dear. It is an existential threat to tyrants in countries like Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Russia that seek to keep information from their people."

'It was a year ago this month that I reported information revealed by my source within the Department of Homeland Security about the existence of “cyber warriors” working for the regime of Barack Hussein Obama. The initial report was published on 6 February 2013 titled DHS Insider: Obama’s cyber warriors & preparing for collapse and detailed, according to this source, government operatives working on behalf of Obama.
According to this source, paid operatives began targeting websites, blogs, forums and social media accounts at exactly 7:00 a.m. on January 23, [2013] under an operation called “the Cyber-Warriors for Obama Project.” That report, which was met with a firestorm of skepticism despite the level of detail provided, noted the activation of government shills infiltrating and attacking “problem” web sites and forums, particularly Christian, conservative, “birther” and other similar sites. In one particularly disturbing characterization ostensibly included for motivational purposes, Obama was referred to as the “Pharaoh of the internet.”
Now, over a year later, documents leaked by Edward Snowden and reported by Glenn Greenwald provide hard evidence that “Western governments” are indeed engaged in such activity.'

We Are Already In Stage One Of Martial Law.
Thanks for the article Philip. I agree with you and Dave Hodges about martial law. As you reported earlier, "Congresswoman Michele Bachmann introduced a resolution to impeach Obama" and many people agree with that 100%.

'In a nation that prides itself on being the “Land of the free” and “Home of the brave”, a cursory (and realistic) look at the developments in this country since 9/11 will illustrate that America can no longer back up those lofty claims.
...
Stage one of martial law consists of the gradual roll-out of government controls over citizen liberties. Travel is restricted through inland border checkpoints and travel restrictions carry over into Stage two. The internal DHS VIPR programs which randomly search citizens at public events and on the highways are now in place. Citizens are conditioned by the TSA that they do not control or own their bodies as the flying public is molested by the TSA everyday in our nation’s airports in an extreme violation of our citizens Fourth Amendment rights.
...
In Stage one, the government elevates itself above any pretense of constitutional liberties.
...
The NDAA permits the government to arrest anyone without the due process of law and detain them indefinitely without any legal representative.
...
Stage two is marked by increasing restrictions on travel, the loss of free speech and the right to assemble to air grievances against the government.
...
Stage two also witnesses the total loss of private property and free will in terms of choice of domicile (i.e. Agenda 21), choice of employment and exercising any form of political choice. In short, Stage two is characterized by creating a political caste system in which the legal rights of certain groups are set in place (i.e. NDAA, Executive Order 13603, etc). The MERS mortgage fraud inspired thievery of legitimate home titles and the MF Global theft of privately secured investment accounts are cases in point. Stage two is often preceded by a false flag attack (e.g. burning of the Reichstag) designed to create a perceived enemy which serves as the excuse for the encroachment of “necessary” tyranny in a society in which “we must trade our liberty for security” approach to governance.
...
Stage three martial law has given history some of its darkest days. Warrant-less detentions become common place in which suspected political dissidents are removed from society, usually in the middle of the night.'

Obama Conquers Internet Through Executive Orders
This story makes me think of the Fabian Socialists or a camel unobtrusively trying to sneak into a teat using incrementalism, making little innocuous changes over time that seem like nothing until one day you realize that the camel is inside the tent! The timing of these changes are over generations of livetimes of people and this is the way that communists have disrupted our educational process to dumb down America and to implement the planks of the communist party.

'Obama’s policies will allow for a future government takeover of the Internet, involving multiple agencies including the Department of Homeland Security, under the guise of “national security needs” and “crisis management.”
In July 2012, Obama quietly released an executive order entitled Assignment of National Security and Emergency Preparedness Communications Functions.
...
This allows the DHS, working jointly and directly with private Internet Service Providers, to easily take over the Internet by claiming priority over private communication lines in the name of “national security.”
...
Earlier this year, Obama released another executive order entitled Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity.
This order created “essential” public-private partnerships with Internet infrastructure owners and operators “to improve cybersecurity information sharing.”
...
The next 9/11 could easily be a cyber attack, such as a massive financial collapse blamed on “foreign hackers.”
...
Between the NSA soaking up all the digital communications by the public and the DHS’s increased involvement in cyber security, the freedom of anonymous expression is in great peril.'

Post-Constitutional America: The Trap is Closing
We have been lied to and are being lied to again. Peter Farmer takes a close look at the ominous and insidious acts of our government under Bush and particularly Obama since 2009. Most people, especially us seniors, tend to forget what news events happened more than a few days ago, but when you see the list of events of a few recent years, the pattern and trend of those events jumps out at you.

Whatever the intentions of George W. Bush, there can be little argument that the nescient national security super-state he helped to create has proven to fit the iron fist of his successor, Barack Obama, like a glove. Using a combination of executive orders, unaccountable appointed “czars,” extrapolations and modifications of existing regulations, and old-fashioned political strong-arming, Obama and his ideological comrades have shredded the constitution and seized vast new powers for themselves and the federal government.
...
Each year, Congress passes a national defense authorization act (NDAA), which appropriates funds for the annual operation of the military and also sets forth modifications to national defense policy. Buried within its pages, the 2012 NDAA contained language authorizing the military to arrest and detain American citizens indefinitely without due process or habeas corpus, if they are suspected of being “terrorists” or what the act terms “covered persons.”
In addition to being a clear violation of the Posse Comitatus Act – which prohibits the U.S. military from conducting combat operations on American soil – the NDAA effectively abolishes the constitutional right to due process. The term “covered persons” is sufficiently vague as to be meaningless and thereby can be stretched to accommodate whatever purpose the government desires.

The Department of Homeland Security, the Transportation Security Agency and other parts of the federal government recently have contracted for the purchase of 1.7 billion rounds of ammunition, including a recent purchase of 450 million rounds of .40 caliber hollow-point handgun ammunition.
...
Why do these civilian agencies need that much ammunition? Hollow-point bullets are designed explicitly for anti-personnel use. The government claims this ammunition is strictly for target practice and annual qualifications drills. If so, why is so much HP ammunition required?
...
In addition to the foregoing, it has just been disclosed that DHS has purchased 2,717 military-surplus MRAP (i.e., mine resistant ambush protected) armored personnel carriers from the military and is retrofitting them for use with that agency. The 18.9-ton MRAP was designed for service in combat; specifically, to withstand small-arms fire, improvised explosive devices, mines, rocket-propelled grenades and other military-grade threats. Why does a civilian agency of the federal government need such equipment – and in such quantity?

Internet Regulation Still a Threat in the 112th Congress
To me the Constitution is quite clear. I see no reason to tolerate the unconstitutional bills that lame duck congressmen, republicans or democrats, put forward as their last futile attempt to further corrupt the Congress. Kurt Hyde warns about busybodies wanting to regulate the Internet, which has worked very well for years without it. Thanks for the article Kurt.

"Freedom advocates breathed sigh of relief when a coalition of Senate Republicans and a few Democrats opposed the Cybersecurity Act of 2012 (S. 3414). Unfortunately, the recent setback of the Cybersecurity Act of 2012 has all the earmarks a false sense of security. The timing has created a false impression that Internet regulation legislation has failed for this session of Congress, but the 112th Congress is virtually certain to convene a lame duck session after the election.
If anyone thinks a lame duck session is only a minor concern, the lame duck session of 2010 should serve as a warning. The outgoing congressmen, predominantly Democrats, submitted a blizzard of bills. The Senate Republicans had enough votes to stop every one of the bills. The voters gave a mandate for change at the ballot boxes that November. All the Senate Republicans needed to do was to stand with the American people and block those bills in the Senate. Instead they chose to pretend they were powerless. They fiddled while America’s freedom burned. There doesn’t appear to be any evidence a lame duck session in 2012 would be much different than the lame duck disaster of 2010.
Regulating the Internet appears to be a top priority for the liberals and neocons in Washington. The Internet has become the main medium of communication for many politically minded people. While the use of the Internet is open to people of all political persuasions, it has become the most important means of communicating for many advocates of return to constitutional government."

United Nations is no longer the peacekeeper it was intended to be and it does not represent the interests of the United States.
...
All the foreign aid that we give third world nations is never used for good – it buys weapons to further the wars between factions in third world nations that are fighting for control and dominance. Those in power take the foreign aid that becomes the means to succeed in their plans to control the population and keep it poor, undermining free enterprise and economic freedom.
...
All these taxes are part of the master plan for global redistribution of wealth from the United States to the third world via the stewardship of the United Nations under the umbrella of global governance. The global transfer of taxes is not going to help poor people in third world nations. The money will go to the corrupt dictators who run these nations and dominate the discussion and policy at the United Nations.
...
Is this the kind of country we want to live in? Do we want to give up our wealth, weapons, the ability to defend ourselves, our economic freedom, our property, our country, our way of life, and sovereignty to the United Nations, run by tin pot third world dictators, in the name of “social justice” dictated by Agenda 21?"

Obama preparing for citizen uprising?
He's at it again with Executive orders. Andrea Shea King is concerned and so am I. Keep your eye on unscrupuless Obama, because he can declare a national emergency and martial law whenever it suits him.

'Could this be about not being able to warn others that something is going on in your neighborhood or that it’s headed their way?
Over the past week, the Internet and talk radio have been buzzing about an Executive Order quietly signed by President Obama that allegedly authorizes the Department of Homeland Security to get ready to shut down all domestic communication in case of a declared national emergency. Let me repeat: All domestic communication, which includes “New Generation Systems” – a.k.a. the Internet – within the United States.
...
“Taken in conjunction with the NSA’s new Utah spy center (which will collect and archive the complete contents of every email, tweet, Facebook post, Google search, phone call and text message) and the National Defense Authorization Act, it’s clear that the Obama administration is expecting trouble from within.
“And with good reason,” the article continues. “By every possible calculation (except flat-out fraud), the U.S. government is completely insolvent, and its balance sheet is growing worse by the day.'

'“I should have told you this before. Having the information first published in Canada was brilliant. It added a layer of inconvenience beyond their [DHS] containment and control, and they [Canada Free Press] did a great job with exposure.
...
Despite the fact our economy is on life support, DHS will be budgeting another trillion dollars in surveillance measures and equipment for police state tactics for two reasons. The first is to protect the politicians and the elite who are concerned about their physical safety.
...
Secondly, everything is preemptive. The power elite are enabling the looting process by oppressing the truth, so they need to monitor everything. If they top can’t stop the details from getting out, and I’m not talking about news from [expletive deleted] MSNBC or the MSM news, but real news, they figure it’s going to get real ugly.'

Conclave with Global Consequences
Here is a Bilderberg group meeting update from the Canada Free Press.

'It does not take a rocket scientist to make an educated guess about the topics of the May 31-June 3, 2012 conference: pondering another war in the Middle East, global warming environmental fraud pushed by UN Agenda 21, Internet I.D. and control, the presidential election in the U.S., control over media, our Congress, our military, and the European crisis.
...
The Washington Post today published a short piece on the bottom of the Metro section (local news) about the meeting, reporting on the protesters outside as conspiracy theorists. The article said, “Attendees are encouraged not to discuss the proceedings, which fuels secrecy concerns. In other words, the first rule is, you do not talk about Bilderberg.” The Chairman and CEO of the Washington Post is one of the conference attendees. (Annie Gowen, Washington Post)
...
Some speculate that Mitch Daniels, the Governor of Indiana, one of the attendees, will be chosen as vice-presidential pick for Mitt Romney. He is scheduled to deliver a speech during the conference.
...
My painstaking list shows that these individuals are not just meeting to have a conclave to bounce around ideas and have discussions away from prying eyes and ears; they are actively affecting policies in their countries and influencing public opinion. They are not benign members of a secretive elite club who meet for academic fun and would like to be left alone—they are global rulers and decision makers with far-reaching consequences into our collective lives.
No matter how liberal media spins the activities of the Bilderbergs and maligns those who know the truth as “conspiracy buffs,” yearly conference attendees are powerful individuals of the global elite class, passionately interested in shaping our future in the vision of their collective beliefs.'

The Surveillance State: Knowing Every Bit About You
This story is similar to one a week or so ago that showed the National Security Agency's (NSA) plans for a huge surveillance facility in Bluffdale, Utah.

"The software, created by a company called Narus that is now part of Boeing, is controlled remotely from NSA headquarters at Fort Meade in Maryland and searches US sources for target addresses, locations, countries, and phone numbers, as well as watch-listed names, keywords, and phrases in email. Any communication that arouses suspicion, especially those to or from the million or so people on agency watch lists, are automatically copied or recorded and then transmitted to the NSA.
The scope of surveillance expands from there, Binney says. Once a name is entered into the Narus database, all phone calls and other communications to and from that person are automatically routed to the NSA’s recorders. “Anybody you want, route to a recorder,” Binney says. “If your number’s in there? Routed and gets recorded.” He adds, “The Narus device allows you to take it all.” And when the Bluffdale facility is completed, whatever is collected will be routed there for storage and analysis.
...
For it is nothing less than a terminal war on Americans’ privacy that is being waged, in deep secrecy and by a comparatively small and fanatically dedicated group of government security fetishists.
...
These machines are now being introduced in train stations and courthouses as well, as naked becomes the new normal. A recent Supreme Court decision upholding the “right” of police to strip-search anyone arrested for any reason (the plaintiff, Albert Florence, was strip-searched twice after being arrested for an unpaid traffic fine) gives legal countenance to the dangerous notion that state-sanctioned strip-searches of anyone, anywhere, anytime are perfectly acceptable in the post 9/11 world.
...
The political use of forced nudity by anti-democratic regimes is long established. Forcing people to undress is the first step in breaking down their sense of individuality and dignity and reinforcing their powerlessness.
...
Jewish prisoners herded into concentration camps were stripped of clothing and photographed naked, as iconic images of that Holocaust reiterated."

Ron Paul Draws Record-Breaking Crowd of 8500+ at UCLA
Why has the Ron Paul campaign been so quiet lately? Gee, it could be the news blackout the controlled news media has in place on Ron Paul! I hate the arrogance of the news media. How many people are taken in by the phoney "news" media every day?
Thanks to G. Edward Griffin for his newsletter and for saving the Ron Paul news story in a cache before the news media scrubbed it from the Internet.
Bruce
"Whenever big gatherings of Ron Paul supporters happen the mainstream media runs for the hills. On April 3rd, Ron Paul held a town-hall style event at Chico State in California and drew a crowd of 6200+. On April 4th, Ron Paul held an event at UCLA's tennis complex and drew a record-breaking 8,500+ attendees. Both Santorum and Romney haven't yet held events as big as this."
