Obama Conquers Internet Through Executive Orders

'You Can Try to Put Lipstick On the Amnesty Pig, But We Won't Be Fooled Again.
That’s because when it comes to stopping Amnesty for millions of illegal aliens, we have no time to waste. Just hours before the Senate’s passage of the Gang of Eight Scamnesty bill, House Speaker John Boehner announced that the entire Republican caucus will hold a closed-door meeting on July 10 to discuss a way forward on "comprehensive" immigration reform.
In other words, the fate of Amnesty-first legislation could be determined in a matter of days. And it is imperative that concerned Americans everywhere make our voices heard prior to that closed-door meeting.
Let’s face it, the pro-Amnesty crowd has pushed every trick in the book to make Amnesty for millions of illegal aliens a political reality... legislative tricks... dark-of-night votes... outright lies... buying-off conservative legislators.
Now it's the House's turn at the plate... and conservative insiders in Washington are already speculating that John Boehner may have only made the statement that the Senate's Gang of Eight Amnesty bill is "dead on arrival" in the House to give Republican "leaders" in the House political cover so they could secretly craft their OWN AMNESTY-FIRST BILL.
Of course... they won't call it an "Amnesty-first" bill. They may try to call it an "enforcement bill." Whatever they call it, it is becoming increasingly clear that they may very well attempt to yet again test the D.C. political adage: "If at first you don't deceive... try, try, again."
Mr. Boehner, If Amnesty Is "Dead On Arrival" In The House, Why Are You Not Killing It?
Never, ever forget. The Speaker of the House... and the Speaker of the House alone... has the singular authority to stop ANY bill from reaching the floor of the House of Representatives.
And the Speaker can only be overruled if a majority of House Members sign a discharge petition forcing a particular piece of legislation to the floor.
This authority is not some arcane or seldom-used procedure. Speakers exercise it regularly. Boehner has exercised it. Nancy Pelosi exercised it and prior Speakers exercised it.
So what's our point? Simply put, John Boehner can, and should, kill Amnesty by simply stating: No immigration bills will be considered on the floor of the House of Representatives until our border is secure and existing immigration laws are enforced.
But he won't say it... Why not?
Instead, Boehner said that he wants the House to consider an "immigration bill" that has the support of "a majority of Democrats and a majority of Republicans."
A "majority of Democrats?" ... Does John Boehner really expect you to believe that a "majority of Democrats" will support any "immigration bill" that is NOT AMNESTY-FIRST?

Richard Viguerie, one of the founders of the modern-day conservative movement, after hearing Boehner proclaim that the Gang of Eight Amnesty bill was "dead on arrival" in the House, wrote: "In normal times, conservatives would breathe a sigh of relief and assume that such bad legislation was headed for a merciful death in the Republican-controlled House. But these aren’t normal times."
Viguerie continued: "[T]he entire conference will meet [privately on] July 10 to discuss the next step.... However, it remains unclear how Boehner and other House Republican leaders plan to proceed."
That’s why, leading up to that July 10 meeting, we must make it clear to Mr. Boehner and the rest of the Republican leadership how we demand they proceed.
We have no doubt that some legislators are trying to figure out how to put lipstick on the Senate’s Amnesty-first pig. Politicians know, as Abraham Lincoln once said, that "you can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time."
But they've forgotten the last part of the quote: "You can not fool all of the people all of the time."

Byron York, of the Washington Examiner, writes: "Ryan favors the same legalization-first sequence for immigration reform that Rubio and the Gang did. ... Ryan’s position could not have been clearer: First, comes the legalization, and then come the measures to secure the border."
To explain how he comes to that conclusion, York goes on to recount a discussion between Fox News' Sean Hannity and Congressman Paul Ryan. The passage speaks for itself and goes straight to the heart of the matter:
"'But what I’m hearing you say, is you’re still giving them legal status first, albeit temporary,' Hannity said. 'And I think I speak for a lot of people, congressman. Most people see that when we are promised spending cuts, we get the tax increase, we never get the spending cut. We get the amnesty, we never get the border security. Why wouldn’t you support something such as expediting, building the security measures in — I mean, we sent men to the moon, couldn’t we do within 12 months, 18 months?'
"No matter how many times Hannity asked the question, Ryan’s answer was still the same: legalization first. But Hannity kept trying. 'You know, I’m listening to you, and obviously, you put a lot of thought into this,' he told Ryan. 'I talk to a lot of conservatives, they write me, they’re writing me right now on Twitter, and I can predict for you what the answer is going to be. If you don’t trust the government, and I don’t trust the government, and we can send a man on the moon, why don’t we just secure the border and expedite it immediately? Make it a national security priority and then deal with these other issues. Why is that not an option for you?'
