I think there are laws to protect consumers on one side of these issues, and big profits to take shortcuts on the other side. Since 2009, Whole Foods is alleged to be using food grown near a polluted Chinese river. That's two years people who buy their food at Whole Foods are left in suspense. Imagine what we don't know about yet.
