Like you would honor a war hero, take a few minutes to remember Irena Sendler, a social worker and mother in Communist Poland, who saved about 2,500 Jewish children from being slaughtered by the Nazis.
Bruce
'Who was Irena Sendler? For 60 years of her life in Poland, she was a “no-person,” a humble social worker, a mother and wife, who never publicly admitted to heroic deeds during the war. ...her father had taught her that “people can only be divided into good or bad; their race, religion, nationality don’t matter.”'
