DHS is getting more like big brother every day. Take a look and read the comments some have made.
1/22/2011 addition. Some good news. A close friend who is a real Vietnam vet (unlike me who never was ordered overseas) told me a story that happened to him this week in a nearby supermarket parking lot. He is handicapped because of his exposure to Agent Orange, a defoliant the Army used to clear the jungles of Vietnam. Anyway, a woman who was not handicapped took the handicapped space that my friend wanted to get into. The store manager saw her arguing with my friend and she was soon visited by a police cruiser and now has a $300 ticket. Cameras caught the event in the handicapped parking spot.
Like the argument about guns. They can be used for good or for evil. Don't take them away from law-abiding citizens. The same can be said about cameras. Used to prevent crime is fine, while using them to spy on regular citizens is not.
